I absolutely adore the movie Sabrina with Harrison Ford!

Here is a quote from the movie when Sabrina is writting to her father after working in Paris for a year.

"Amazing . . . it's gone by so quickly . . . I want so much of you to know what it's meant to me. It's turned cold out, but I don't feel cold. Across the street someone is playing "La Vie en Rose". They do it for the tourists, but I am always surprised at how it moves me . It means seeing life through rose coloured glasses. Only in Paris where the light is pink that song makes sense, but I'll have it in my pocket when I get home and I'll take it with me wherever I go from now on."


Saturday I did absolutely diddley squat all day, but enjoyed sitting in the garden drinking coffee and reading. Why do people drink hot drinks here in the summer?!? Sweet tea with ice makes so much more sense!!! . . . I have not chewed on ice in two months?!? Haha . . .

Today I went to church with a friend and then we met another gal and together went to the "coop" in the Stadelhofen station (only store open on Sundays) and bought cheese, meat, crackers, and guess what!?! WINE!!! Lol, do I mention wine too much!?! After all I am in Europe and they drink it like water here . . . Could be worse, ya know, I could be in Russia, where I've heard they drink Vodka like water. After all, I am Presbyterian! ;-)

So we took our spoils to the lake and enjoyed our little feast, continuously glaring at the sky, daring it to rain on us. And now I am back home, writing to you lovely people and working on laundry. :-D

Tomorrow I'll have a busy day of watching the kiddos and cleaning up their apartment and my garden area, because Tuesday morning we leave to go to Spain! I am excited! It ought to be fun. Due to previous events I am no longer invited to attend them into Fance but will instead take a 20 hour train ride back to Zurich from the west coast of Spain. I ought to be back on 30th and then hopefully by that weekend my dear aunt will be visiting me for a week.

So I do believe that as this will be my last post for some time, or at least till the 30th, I wish y'all a lovely week and look forward to posting again on my return. Auf wiederschreiben! (Goodbye, till we write again.)

This week's holidays! Kiddos are off from school.

Monday was the first day of holidays so I started work at 8.30 and waited for the kiddos to wake up and we had breakfast and then played with the new Play Station 2 which their parents bought them for the holidays. O plating our meal and J checking out camera angles. ;-PThey had the new Asterix and Obelex game which my brothers love playing on the computer and then they had this German sing-along thing which was absolutely hilarious. I tried it out and was horrible, because trying to say all the words with the music was definitely more difficult than I thought it would be, lol.

Absolutely hilarious, "Super sexy Kase Brot" means "super sexy chessy bread!" :-P

Tuesday we went to the Dino Museum in Aathal.

I met a friend in the ladies room :-P

Something landed in her Wohnzimmer . . . (living room)

Vogel is a bird . . . so how the Rausaurier became the bird!?! Lol . . .

On Wednesday I went to the aupair meeting, went to the English Women's Club in Uster and now can read books in English!!!! Yay! Then watched them again during the evening and today just watched them from 8:30-2pm at which time Olga came to take care of them for the afternoon. Friday evening I babysit and then I am off for Saturday and Sunday. Toodles!

Sunday's day trip to Gruyere, Bulle, Broc!!!

Sunday morning I met Lacey and her mother and brother at the Haubt Bahnhof and we made our way to Fribourg (definitely want to tour this place more) with Megan and McKensie and then took some buses to Gruyere where we went to the Cheese factory! There was an aweful smell in the train and Megan couldn't handle it, lol . . .

We all found "Cherry" the cow (our audio guide) highly amusing . . .

After our brief lunch at the tiny bahnhof, we went onto Bulle and walked around the town while waiting for our train to take us into Borc. Below is an old Chalet that is now a police headquarters! Lucky police . . .

Lol . . . this just cracked me up . . .

At Borc we checked out the Chocolate factory!!! The awesomest part of it was that it was free and they had all these chocolate samples!!! YUM! Tip for y'all, when you are here buy up the chocolate in the store because it is uber billig (cheap).

Walking around Borc we found some "bleeding heart" flowers!! I love these!

And this was just too bizarre! I could not believe I saw this in the French Speaking part of Switzerland!

Here Lacey was making Mckensie mad much to the amusement of us all . . .

Last Thursday

During the evening we went to J's English class party. Lol, they talked in Swiss German the whole night except for the few songs they sang for the parents in English. ;-)

We had fun, played and had a picnic for 4 hours and then came back home to jump into bed. However, before bed I was told I was the worst aupair as far as cleaning went. Lol, I had to move some stuff in J's room to clean under the bed . . . I'll cut him some slack, it was a long day. ;-)

The park was the place where people can come to build houses and stuff out of junk and I think it was on of the coolest parks I've been too. Everything was so creative and it was all junk!!!
