2nd Annual Couch Surfing Pillow Fight in Zurich, CH!!

Oh my!! This pillow fight was hilarious! So some of the aupairs are couch surfers and we decided to check out this event and it was amazing!!! Haha. We all met up along the lake near Bellevue and spread out throughout the crowd. Then one girl approached another guy and they started having a fight, people start wondering what is going on. Then out of nowhere this gal takes a pillow out of her bag and starts walloping this guy and then 40 people run out of the crowd and all start fighting, feathers flying and people thinking . . . ???? Haha, absolutely great! We did clean up the mess though! ;-)
Hahah, we seriously look like monkeys here. Picking out feathers!

Clean up was intense!!! We used the pillows which survived to "sweep" the feathers into piles and then bagged them . . . still looked like birds were sacrificed . . .

Group pic! And Zuri man photographer!

I was the photographer, haha, and video taker. ;-)

Get her Jordan! haha

Kate is a true fighter!!!

Haha, Allyson, Miriam, and the other Kate! ;-)

AAAHHH!! Kate!!

Hehehe, love this pic of Jordan!!

Hehe, Teresa and Jason. We met Jason at this event and he has been traveling for two years as a couch surfer in Europe and due to his grandfather being Swiss, he is now in the Swiss army which is mandatory for all young Swiss men. Hahha, and we had to hide the pillows as we were walking to Bellevue! Snagged a few from the "brokenhaus" (thrift store) in Zurich.

Sledding weekend! ;-)
A couple of weeks ago. Meeting Kylie (Rebecca's replacement) at the Oliver Twist pub in the Niederdorf of Zurich.
On an SBB train! the S15 goes to Uster!!! :-D I'll always have fond memories of that train, lol.
Haha, we played the tourists that night and a random Swiss guy got a picture with us gorgeous gals, lol. The guys were still wearing their nametags from the IPC student meal and Adam gave his to the Swiss guy, Marcel?
A rare warm early spring afternoon with Teresa and her boys getting Movenpick icecream!
Haha at the sledding event helping to untangle the girls!

Fasnacht/Carnival in Luzern Switzerland!

Hehe, painting bear cub prints on the injun!
Becky and me on the train to Luzern for this fabulous event!
Nicole and Rachel dancing on the train. Some musicians came onto the train and played for us! It was lovely!!!!
Getting my hand painted! I am a happy camper!
Hehe, Luzern Bahnhof!

Sorry, lol, I don't care how cheap beer is, if it isn't a Strongbow or an Eve, I don't like it. ;-)
We be sehr cute!! :-P
Loved throwing confetti everywhere!! Lol, the mess was a dream come true, ahah!

Spittle anyone?!?! hehe . . .
Naughty!!!! Only Mandy could read it fast enough to translate it for us. Lol . . .

Traditionally oranges were thrown out to the crowds. Even so there wasn't much candy at all . . . definitely not like North American parades. Hehe, you can see the kids reaching for the oranges! It was also hilarious, because the marching bands had holders on their instruments to hold their German beers and at one point this Swiss woman and myself shared a moment laughing together over a certain parade participate stumbling down the crowds . . . :-D

HIGHLANDERS!!!!

Hehe . . . rachel was grabbed by these guys dressed up as hags and dragged for a ways through the parade, haha, t'was hilarious!
This float cracked me up! All these monks were drinking beer.

NAUGHTY!!!
Rach's face is classic!!!

This was awesome!!!

The old bridge in Luzern
I love Swiss efficiency!!! The parade was barely over and people were already out attacking the mess!
Haha, we passed this indian and I jumped up to him to get him in a pic with Rachel and Nicole. Haha. He then proceeded to ask us f we were over 18 and to have a drink with him, but we had a date with a Lion. ;-)
This is the famous Lion Statue in Luzern in memory of the Swiss guard that died "protecting" the King during the French Revolution. Mark Twain, said this was the most moving piece of rock in the world, lol, and it truly does look like it is in pain.
While we were checking out the lion, there were some Japanese tourists who took turn taking pictures with us and practising on Nicole's bow! It was great!
Hehehe . . .
Hehe, Japanese men fighting over the bow and arrow, lol . . . This was an amazing trip and so cool to experience Fasnacht/Carnival! Apparently the best place to go for Carnival is Venice, Italy, but for Switzerland, Luzern is definitely the place. :-D
